Description

High-efficiency two-stage furnace with a variable-speed ECM blower for quiet, even heating and lower operating costs than a fixed-speed system. At 96% AFUE, roughly 96 cents of every dollar spent on fuel becomes usable heat rather than exhaust, versus about 80 cents on a standard-efficiency furnace — the difference typically pays back the price premium over several heating seasons in colder climates. The variable-speed blower ramps gradually at start-up and shutdown instead of snapping to full speed, which both quiets operation and improves comfort by reducing temperature swings. Condensing design requires a secondary drain line (standard on most modern installs). Compatible with Carrier's Infinity System Control for communicating, zoned operation when paired with a matched Infinity thermostat and outdoor unit.
